Asami made it to squad four and quickly spotted Hanataro. She waved and called a greeting to him with a shy smile on her face before noticing that he was busy. After she noticed she wondered if she should just turn around and leave.

Hanataro looked up from scrubbing the floors of the barracks. He immediately noticed Asami and waved back eagerly. "Hello Asami-chan," he called to her. Hanataro stood and wiped his forehead with the back of his hand. He glanced at the clock again; his break started in a minute. 'I wonder if Asami-chan would want to eat lunch with me,' he thought to himself.

"H-hi Hana-kun." Asami said shyly."S-so how's your day been?" She asked, it wasn't hard to tell that she was nervous.

"I've had a good day," Hanataro said with a smile. He sensed that Asami was nervous and didn't understand why. "I'm just about to eat lunch, would you like to join me?" he asked her.

"That's good." She said with a smile."I'd love to!" She said eagerly with a red blush acrossed her cheeks.

Hanataro smiled encouraging at Asami. He led her over to the shade of a tree in the squad barracks. 'Thank goodness I packed extra food today,' he thought with a mental sigh. Hanataro opened his lunch and gestured to it. "Take whatever you want," he told Asami with a sweet grin.

"So how was your day?" Hanataro asked, making small talk as he reached in and grabbed a rice ball.

Hanataro chewed on his rice ball thoughtfully. "Why is that?" he asked Asami after he finished his food. He reached into the box to grab another as he waited to her to answer.

"Both Captain Kuchiki and Lieutenant Abarai were called to a meeting, I'm worried that something really bad is going to happen." Asami said in a worried tone.

"All the lieutenants and captains have," Hanataro responded thoughtfully. "But I think it will be okay." He smiled at Asami. But in the back of his mind, he was worried. He only said that to calm her.

Hanataro smiled and nodded. Whatever was going on at the meeting, he was sure Soul Society could handle it. "We'll be fine. We always are," Hanataro told Asami.
